Dispensary Near Hopkins County, KY

Monday–Sunday: 10 AM–6 PM

Looking for a dispensary near Hopkins County that feels like a neighborhood fixture instead of a corporate storefront? The Post is a licensed medical cannabis dispensary set inside a converted small-town landmark, pairing fast self-service kiosks with a knowledgeable team that takes the time to answer questions and talk through your options. Flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates rotate through our shelves at everyday-low prices, and every dollar you spend builds toward loyalty rewards that make each return trip even more rewarding.

Small-Town Roots Welcome You Home

Long before The Post Dispensary opened its doors, this building served as Beaver Dam's U.S. post office, commissioned during President Kennedy's administration. That history still shapes how we treat every person who walks in today, offering the kind of steady, familiar service small towns are known for. Patients making the trip because we’re a trusted dispensary near Hopkins County often notice the classic brick storefront before they even step inside.

Our consultants take their time with you instead of rushing through a script. Self-service kiosks handle checkout quickly, but the conversation about products, dosing, or your medical card never feels hurried. Whether this is your first visit or your fiftieth, we welcome your questions if you’d like help finding something that works for you.

Everyday low pricing keeps this trip worthwhile for Hopkins County dispensary shoppers, and our loyalty program means the value builds with every return visit. We're glad to be part of the routine for so many who make the drive from Madisonville and beyond.

What The Post Carries

Every visit starts with a straightforward promise: quality products at a price that keeps working in your favor, visit after visit. Our shelves hold flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates, organized so you can find what works without wading through clutter. Darkhorse leads the way among our flower selection, and Alchemy has earned a steady following in our vape category, though we're always glad to walk you through something new.

We don't grow anything on site, and you won't find a private-label line here. Instead, licensed cultivators and processors across Kentucky supply our inventory, and every batch passes lab testing before it lands on the shelf. That approach is what keeps Hopkins County dispensary shoppers coming back, since knowing exactly what you're getting matters more than a flashy label.

Paying is just as uncomplicated. We take credit cards, debit cards, cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and we have an on-site ATM for anyone who needs it.

A disc golf course and rolling, tree-lined grounds make it an easy spot to slow down for an afternoon.

Hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing are all part of the draw, and it surrounds Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park along the shore of Lake Beshear.

Housed in a building on Union Street that once served as the county's first library, this museum preserves local history through coal industry artifacts, political memorabilia, and a rare 1910 Buick Buggyabout. Visitors can also step inside the relocated log cabin birthplace of Kentucky's 43rd governor, Ruby Laffoon.

Dempsey Street Baking Co.

Tucked in downtown Madisonville, this from-scratch bakery has turned out cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and cheesecakes since 2019. Many recipes carry a generations-old, homemade touch that keeps regulars coming back for something sweet.

Registered patients can purchase and possess up to a 30-day supply of medical cannabis at a time. By law, a 30-day supply is defined as up to 112 grams of flower (about 4 ounces), 28 grams of concentrate, or 3,900 mg of THC in edibles, oils, or other products. Dispensaries will ensure you do not exceed these amounts.

If you’re an out-of-state visiting patient with a Kentucky temporary card, your limit is a 10-day supply (about 37.5 g of flower, 9.5 g of concentrate, or 1,300 mg of THC in products) per purchase period. Caregivers may purchase a 30-day supply for each patient under their care. Ointments, soaps, lotions, and other topical agents do not count towards the 30-day or 10-day supply limits.

No. Kentucky doesn't apply state or local sales tax to medical cannabis, so the price on the shelf is the price you pay.

We take credit cards, debit cards, cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and we keep an ATM on-site for added convenience.

As a dispensary Hopkins County patients turn to for variety, our shelves are stocked with a full range of state-approved medical cannabis products, including cannabis flower, edibles, oils, tinctures, vape cartridges, and concentrates. All products are tested and properly packaged. Keep in mind Kentucky’s regulations: flower is available for vaporization use only – it will be labeled “not for smoking” because smoking cannabis is not allowed under state law. Edibles, tinctures, and oils provide smoke-free consumption options, and vape products are available (but only to cardholders 18 or older per Kentucky law). Our knowledgeable consultants are happy to walk you through each category and help you find what fits your needs.

Kentucky law restricts use to private property, generally your own home. Public consumption isn't allowed anywhere in the state, dispensary grounds included, so plan to wait until you're home before using your product.
