Dispensary Near Jefferson County, KY

Monday–Sunday: 10 AM–6 PM

Distance hasn't stopped patients across Kentucky from finding their way to The Post, including plenty who now treat it as their go-to dispensary near Jefferson County. Staff is ready to walk through dosing questions or product options whenever a patient wants that extra guidance, while self-service kiosks keep things moving quickly for anyone ready to check out on their own. As a licensed medical cannabis retailer, we stock a wide range of lab-tested flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates at everyday low prices, and every purchase builds toward loyalty rewards that make repeat trips worthwhile.

Small-Town Roots Welcome You Home

Louisville has its share of big-city energy, but The Post offers something different: a converted post office building where slowing down is part of the design. President Kennedy's administration commissioned it decades before cannabis was ever part of the picture, and that civic history still colors how patients are treated once they walk through the door today.

Nobody rushes a conversation here. Staff answers product questions, dosing concerns, or medical card questions for as long as a patient needs, and self-service kiosks are there for anyone ready to wrap up on their own terms.

Jefferson County dispensary shoppers making the trip out from Louisville and surrounding communities often mention how different that pace feels compared to what they're used to. It's the same experience every time, regardless of how far someone's traveled to get here or how many times they’ve visited.

ching over from somewhere else? Either way, no one here will rush you into a decision. And if you already know exactly what you want, nobody will try to talk you into something else.

Add in The Post’s everyday low pricing and a loyalty program that keeps paying off, and it's easy to see why Hardin County patients keep this dispensary near Elizabethtown on their regular rotation.

What The Post Carries

Finding something that fits starts with range: flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates all fill our shelves with enough variety to match different needs and preferences. Darkhorse comes up often among flower shoppers, with Alchemy earning similar loyalty in the vape category, though our team is always happy to point out something worth trying if you're curious about a different brand, format, or strain.

None of it comes from an in-house grow, and there's no private-label shortcut here. Kentucky-licensed cultivators and processors supply every product on our shelves, and each one clears lab testing before a patient ever sees it. Patients who've made this their go-to dispensary near Jefferson County tend to value that kind of accountability as much as the selection itself.

Payment shouldn't be difficult either, so we keep it flexible. We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and we also have an on-site ATM for anyone who needs cash on hand.

Explore Local Favorites in Jefferson County, Kentucky

Louisville, the county seat and Kentucky's largest city, anchors Jefferson County, but the county extends well beyond downtown into quieter neighborhoods and green space along its edges. That mix of urban energy and open ground gives visitors plenty worth exploring before or after a stop at The Post. These are some of our favorite spots.

Jefferson Memorial Forest

At more than 6,600 acres, this is the largest municipally owned urban forest in the country, sitting just 15 miles from downtown Louisville. Over 35 miles of hiking and equestrian trails wind through its ridges and valleys, and a 52-foot alpine tower gives climbers a reason to look up rather than down.

Conrad-Caldwell House Museum

Known locally as "Conrad's Castle," this Richardsonian Romanesque mansion went up between 1893 and 1895 in the heart of Old Louisville's Victorian district. Original details like parquet floors crafted from seven types of hardwood and Bedford limestone exteriors carved with gargoyles have earned it a reputation as one of the region's finest house museums.

Speed Art Museum

Founded in 1927, this is Kentucky's oldest and largest art museum, holding more than 12,000 pieces spanning 6,000 years of human history. Its collection ranges from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary works, with strong holdings in 17th-century Dutch painting and Kentucky-made decorative arts.

Waterfront Botanical Gardens

Built on the site of a former landfill in the Butchertown neighborhood, this 23-acre garden opened its first phase in 2019 after decades of planning. A wood-and-glass education center anchors the grounds, surrounded by native plant collections and a water wall offering views back toward downtown.

North of Bourbon

This Germantown restaurant opened in late 2021 and quickly built a reputation strong enough to land it on a national list of the country's best restaurants. Southern, Cajun, and Creole flavors define the menu, paired with an extensive bourbon program that lives up to the name.

The Irish Rover

Open since 1993 in a 150-year-old red-brick building on Frankfort Avenue, this pub holds the distinction of being Louisville's first authentic Irish establishment. Fish and chips and a deep whiskey selection have kept regulars coming back for more than three decades.

Jefferson County Dispensary FAQs

Everyday low pricing sets the tone, backed by a lineup broad enough to cover most preferences and a staff that’s always there to slow down and listen whenever a visitor wants guidance. Every product on the shelf comes lab-tested from licensed Kentucky sources, so patients aren't just getting a good price; they're getting a product they can trust. That combination, paired with genuine pride in serving our Kentucky community, is what keeps Jefferson County dispensary shoppers coming back to The Post.

Two main options connect Jefferson County to The Post. I-65 South into the Western Kentucky Parkway is the more direct option, while KY-69 South offers an alternate route for anyone starting from a different part of the county. Both routes lead to our address at 300 N Main St, Beaver Dam, KY 42320.

We’re open 10 AM- 6 PM DAILY. Check our Google listing or reach out directly for any holiday adjustments.

We accept any valid, government-issued photo ID, including out-of-state IDs, along with your medical cannabis card. Temporary or expired IDs won't get you through checkout.

Yes, a valid medical cannabis card is required for every purchase. Patients still working through that process are welcome to ask our staff for guidance on next steps. We’ll be happy to point you to resources to move forward with confidence.

In Kentucky, registered patients can purchase and possess up to a 30-day supply of medical cannabis at a time. By law, a 30-day supply is defined as up to 112 grams of flower (about 4 ounces), 28 grams of concentrate, or 3,900 mg of THC in edibles, oils, or other products. Dispensaries will ensure you do not exceed these amounts.

If you’re an out-of-state visiting patient with a Kentucky temporary card, your limit is a 10-day supply (about 37.5 g of flower, 9.5 g of concentrate, or 1,300 mg of THC in products) per purchase period. Caregivers may purchase a 30-day supply for each patient under their care. Ointments, soaps, lotions, and other topical agents do not count toward the 30-day or 10-day supply limits.

No. State and local sales tax don't apply to medical cannabis in Kentucky, so the price you see on the shelf is the total you'll pay at checkout.

We take credit cards, debit cards, cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout and have an on-site ATM for added convenience.

Our shelves hold a full range of state-approved medical cannabis products, including cannabis flower, edibles, oils, tinctures, vape cartridges, and concentrates, all tested and properly packaged. Keep Kentucky’s regulations in mind: flower is available for vaporization use only. It will be labeled “not for smoking” because smoking cannabis is not allowed under state law. Edibles, tinctures, and oils provide smoke-free consumption options, and vape products are available (but only to cardholders 18 or older per Kentucky law). Our knowledgeable consultants will explain each category and help you find what fits your needs.

State law restricts use to private property, generally a patient's own home. Public use isn't permitted anywhere, including dispensary grounds, so plan to wait until you're home before using your product.

Not yet. The Post doesn't currently offer delivery, but you can place an order online for express in-store pickup to save time when you arrive.

Always! We send daily and weekly specials by text and email, and patients can also take advantage of a dedicated veteran and military discount, plus a loyalty program that rewards every visit.

Who We Serve

Jefferson County covers a lot of ground beyond downtown Louisville, with patients also coming from Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively, Fairdale, Valley Station, and Prospect. Just south of the county line, Elizabethtown and Radcliff add their own steady share of regulars to that mix.

None of this happened by accident. Every patient who walks through our door gets the same careful attention, the same fair pricing, and the same product standards, and that consistency is what turns a first visit into a repeat one. Stop in and experience The Post firsthand; we'd love to have you!
