Monday-Sunday: 10 AM-6 PM

Small-Town Care, First-Class Service

The Post takes its name from the building it calls home — a former U.S. post office, commissioned under President John F. Kennedy, long before it became a Beaver Dam dispensary. A post office is where a small town handles its most personal business, quietly and reliably, and we've built The Post around that same promise.

We've designed our dispensary to feel like a neighbor, not a corporation. There's no long lobby wait and no pressure. Our self-service kiosks get you through checkout fast, while our staff stays close by, ready to answer questions about products, dosing, or the medical card process itself. Everyday-low pricing keeps quality accessible, and our loyalty program rewards you for coming back. You can pay however works best for you. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash, and we keep an ATM on-site for convenience.

Above all, The Post is built on compassion, education, and community. Whether you're a first-time patient or have managed a qualifying condition for years, our goal is simple: treat you like a neighbor, answer your questions honestly, and make sure you leave feeling confident in your options. We love serving our Kentucky communities; see why!

How to Get A Medical Marijuana Card

We are thrilled that the state has finally passed legislation ruling medical marijuana legal in the State of Kentucky. Our community understands the benefits of medical cannabis and its ability to improve the quality of life for so many people. If you're thinking about getting a medical marijuana card in Kentucky, we’re ready to support you with the most up-to-date information on the process.

What You'll Find Inside Our Beaver Dam Dispensary

Our menu includes flower, edibles, vapes, concentrates, tinctures, and topicals, so patients who'd rather not inhale their medicine still have plenty of options. We curate our menu from licensed Kentucky cultivators and processors, so you're always getting lab-tested products chosen for quality, not convenience to us.

We know every patient's needs look different. Some are managing chronic pain and want reliable, higher-potency options. Others are newer to medical cannabis and want something gentle to start with. Our staff takes the time to walk through the menu with you, explain what each product does, and help you land on something that fits your condition, your experience level, and your budget.

Beaver Dam is a town worth exploring before or after your visit to The Post. Here are a few local favorites, from bluegrass history to hometown baseball.

Huddle House

Whether you're up early or settling in late, Huddle House on Highway 231 keeps the griddle going for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, any meal, any time. It's a classic Southern diner stop for hot coffee, golden hash browns, and a plate of eggs cooked just the way you like them. Grab a booth, catch up with a neighbor, and settle in for comfort food that never seems to disappoint, no matter what time you walk through the door.

Beaver Dam City Park

Beaver Dam City Park offers a quiet escape right in town, with a walking trail, shaded picnic pavilions, and plenty of green space. Baseball fans can catch a game at the Ray Chapman Baseball Complex, while the weekend farmer's market brings fresh, local produce to the park's open lawn. It's an easy, unhurried stop for anyone looking to stretch their legs and enjoy small-town Kentucky at its best.

Bill Monroe Homeplace

History runs deep just outside town at the Bill Monroe Homeplace, the boyhood home of the man known worldwide as the Father of Bluegrass Music. Restored to its early-1900s character, the homeplace sits atop Pigeon Ridge near Rosine and offers guided tours into the Monroe family's story. Music lovers can also catch the free Pickin' on the Porch series on summer evenings, lawn chairs welcome.

The Rosine Barn

A short drive from downtown, The Rosine Barn keeps Kentucky's bluegrass roots alive with live music sessions from April through December. This historic barn, tucked in the small town of Rosine, has hosted pickers and legends for over three decades and remains a cherished gathering spot for music lovers across Western Kentucky. Bring a chair, grab a bite next door, and settle in for an evening of authentic mountain music.

Beef O'Brady's

Craving wings and a big screen after your visit? Beef O'Brady's on North Main Street serves Angus burgers, award-winning wings, and hearty tacos in a family-friendly sports bar setting. It's the kind of spot where the game is always on, and the tables fill up fast on weekend nights.

Beaver Dam Amphitheater

Just around the corner from The Post, the Beaver Dam Amphitheater fills downtown with national touring acts throughout the year, from country and southern rock legends to hometown bluegrass festivals like Stomp and Holler. Grab a seat under the lights, take in the sound rolling across Main Street, and feel why locals simply call it “the DAM.”

Yes, a valid medical cannabis card is required for every purchase at our Beaver Dam dispensary. If you're still working through the process, our team is happy to point you toward resources for obtaining a card so that you can start your medical cannabis journey with confidence.

We offer a wide selection of state-approved medical cannabis products, including cannabis flower, edibles, oils, tinctures, vape cartridges, and concentrates. All products are tested and properly packaged. Keep in mind Kentucky’s regulations: flower is available for vaporization use only – it will be labeled “not for smoking,” because smoking cannabis is not allowed under state law. Edibles, tinctures, and oils provide smoke-free consumption options, and vape products are available (but only to cardholders 18 or older per Kentucky law). Our knowledgeable consultants can explain each product type and help you choose the best option for your needs.

There are multiple payment options available. The Post Beaver Dam Dispensary accepts cash, debit transactions, and other cashless payment solutions (such as ACH transfer apps) for safe, convenient checkout. We also have an ATM on-site for your convenience. Please note that credit cards are generally not accepted. We recommend bringing cash or a debit card.

Only adults 18 years of age or older can legally consume medical cannabis with a valid government-issued ID and a medical marijuana card. In addition, individuals who are less than 18 years old with a qualifying medical condition who have received custodial parent or legal guardian consent and a written certification by a medicinal cannabis practitioner are eligible.

Registered patients can purchase and possess up to a 30-day supply of medical cannabis at a time. By law, a 30-day supply is defined as up to 112 grams of flower (about 4 ounces), 28 grams of concentrate, or 3,900 mg of THC in edibles, oils, or other products. Dispensaries will ensure you do not exceed these amounts.

If you are an out-of-state visiting patient with a Kentucky temporary card, your limit is a 10-day supply (about 37.5 g of flower, 9.5 g of concentrate, or 1,300 mg of THC in products) per purchase period. Caregivers may purchase a 30-day supply for each patient under their care. Ointments, soaps, lotions, and other topical agents do not count towards the 30-day or 10-day supply limits.

Medical cannabis in Kentucky is not subject to state and local taxes.

Yes. Our Beaver Dam dispensary offers a dedicated discount for veterans and active-duty military, along with weekly and daily specials that change on a regular cadence. Our loyalty program also rewards every visit: $1 spent earns 1 point, and 20 points earn $1 in rewards.

Smoking cannabis is not permitted anywhere – the state only allows vaping or other non-combustible forms. Public consumption of medical cannabis is illegal. Kentucky law prohibits using medical cannabis on dispensary premises or in any public space. After your purchase, wait until you are in a private residence to consume your medicine. Never consume while driving or operating machinery (and remember it’s illegal to drive under the influence).

At this time, medical cannabis delivery is not available at The Post Dispensary. You may place an online order for express in-store pickup.
